A member of IATA, Edutravel is a Moscow-based company set up in 1996. Our “hands-on” working directors lead a professional team of some 100+ full-time employees all with the most up-to-the-minute information at their fingertips.
Within our highly successful private and corporate travel company we also have a dedicated educational consultancy offering advice and a placement service for all manner of international education – from language training, including specialised courses and pre-university preparation, to placement in private boarding schools in the UK, USA, Austria, Ireland, Spain and Switzerland and assistance with entrance to universities in the UK and the USA.
Our staff has over 18 years’ experience in this field, and brings an in-depth of knowledge of overseas educational establishments gained from his extensive travels and attendance - along with other members of the department - at international workshops and fairs such as StudyWorld, Alphe, ICEF and British Boarding Schools Workshop.
Mr Alexander Vislobokov was the founder of International Education Department at Edutravel and dedicated all his life to developing it. That is why our team pride themselves on their personal attitude and meticulous attention to detail when dealing with each and every client. With a vast combined knowledge of all the academic programmes offered by the department, we have forged strong relationships with our partner schools and universities, as well as with our loyal clients. We help plan every stage of the educational stay, from the selection of the right course and institution for the client, to expert visa support and travel arrangements down to the last detail.
In the case of parents wishing to send their children to boarding schools overseas extensive consultation and planning is needed. We take the time to get to know the child and the hopes and aspirations of both child and parents. We can then advise on a selection of schools best suited to that student’s needs, and guide the parents through the application process; we have all the facilities and extensive experience in invigilating any entry tests that may be required - we can even conduct on-line interviews by phone or Skype.
Once a place has been secured in a suitable school we then arrange all the support necessary – visa application, a comprehensive guardianship service and all travel arrangements both to and from and within the country in question. Throughout the child’s academic career overseas we remain a constant link between the parents and school and guardianship provider, the vital “glue” that holds all the elements for a successful, stress-free experience for the child together.
The UK is the major destination for boarding school education and our partner schools include Ackworth School, Alexanders College, Battle Abbey School, Bede's Senior School, Bromsgrove School, Blundells School, CATS Cambridge, Concord College, Culford School, Dover College, Felsted School, Harrogate Ladies College, Kent College, King’s Bruton, Kelly College, King’s Ely, Lancing College, Millfield Preparatory School, Oswestry School, Pangbourne College, Rendcomb College, the Royal Hospital School, the Royal Russell School, Ryde School, Sedbergh School, Sherborne International School, Sherborne School for Boys, Sherborne School for Girls, St Edmund’s College, Stonar School, Windermere School, Worksop College and Wycliffe College.
We have also secured places for students at Abingdon, Bedford, Bishops Stortord, King’s School, Sevenoaks, St. Margaret's Bushey(girls), and St. Peter’s and we are continually forging strong links with these and other schools in an ongoing programme to increase the number of our partner schools.
In the USA we work closely with several renowned schools such as Pomfret School, Masters School, Lawrence Academy.
For those parents wishing for a British education combined with the opportunity to learn the Spanish language and absorb its culture, we have chosen boarding schools such as King’s College in the bustling capital Madrid and Caxton College in Valencia, Spain’s third largest city and home to the traditional dish paella.
In the French-speaking part of Switzerland we can offer boarding school education on the British model at our partner schools on the eastern shore of Lake Geneva - Aiglon College, founded in the late 1940s and Collège Alpin International Beau Soleil, one of the oldest private schools in Switzerland which also offers the French education system. Or parents may opt for a francophone environment at Ecole Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande in Lausanne, or follow the American system at Leysin American School. As in the other countries where we place students we are constantly adding to our list of schools and in Switzerland already have good relations with Collège du Leman, TASIS – the American School in Switzerland, Monte Rosa Institute, St George’s School, Le Rosey and Brillantmont International School.
You will also find that we have first-hand experience and in-depth knowledge of schools in Austria and Ireland.
An area in which we are growing is that of higher education, and we can help our clients enter leading universities in the UK and USA. We are constantly working on developing direct contact with major universities, so do contact us for up-to-date information.
With older students looking to attend language courses overseas the needs are different but no less exacting and our team is equipped with the experience to match the course to the student’s needs, whether it may be a short, intensive course, a course tailored to the student’s professional demands or a long-term course with a specific goal in mind. Again visa support and travel arrangements are a given and we are always on hand to help with any matters which may arise during the stay abroad.
For all our clients we smooth the path to an overseas education – we can also help with financial planning, by making it clear when payments are to be made, from initial deposits to final balances. In the case of long-term study we remind clients when regular payments are due and ensure that all documentation from the institution is forwarded in time and any elements which may not be clear are duly explained.
